WSID ist ein kostenloser Sessionplaner für die Astrofotografie. Er beantwortet für eine gewählte Nacht und einen gewählten Standort die Frage, wie viel wirklich nutzbare Dunkelheit übrig bleibt, wenn Dämmerung und Mond abgezogen sind. Die Berechnung läuft vollständig im Browser; eine Anmeldung gibt es nicht.

Für wen

Astrofotografinnen und Astrofotografen, die eine Aufnahmenacht planen, sowie alle, die wissen wollen, wann es an einem Ort dunkel genug wird.

Grenzen

• Wetter und Bewölkung werden nicht berücksichtigt.
• Die örtliche Horizonthöhe durch Gelände oder Bebauung geht nicht ein.
• Die Helligkeitskurve ist zenitbezogen und beschreibt einen Referenzhimmel; sie ersetzt keine Messung am Standort.
• Ob eine Aufnahme unter Mond und Dämmerung je Filter lohnt, bewertet nicht WSID, sondern der Schmalbandrechner NSTN.
• Ohne Gewähr.

Datenschutz

Alle Berechnungen laufen im Browser. Standort, Koordinaten und Eingaben werden nicht an einen Server übertragen; eigene Standorte bleiben lokal im Browser gespeichert und werden mit dem Schmalbandrechner NSTN geteilt. Für die Reichweitenmessung wird eine selbst betriebene Plausible-Instanz genutzt, ohne Cookies und ohne geräteübergreifende Profile. Programmbibliotheken werden vollständig mit ausgeliefert, es findet kein Nachladen von Drittanbietern statt.

WSID is a free session planner for astrophotography. For a chosen night and location it answers how much genuinely usable darkness remains once twilight and the Moon are subtracted. Everything is computed in the browser; there is no sign-up.

Astrophotographers planning an imaging night, and anyone who wants to know when it actually gets dark enough at a given place.

Limits

• Weather and cloud cover are not taken into account.
• The local horizon height from terrain or buildings is not included.
• The brightness curve refers to the zenith and describes a reference sky; it does not replace a measurement on site.
• Whether imaging pays off per filter under moon and twilight is not assessed here but in the narrowband calculator NSTN.
• No warranty.

Privacy

All computations run in the browser. Location, coordinates and inputs are not sent to a server; custom sites stay in local browser storage and are shared with the narrowband calculator NSTN. Reach measurement uses a self-hosted Plausible instance, without cookies and without cross-device profiles. Program libraries are fully bundled with the site; none are loaded from third-party services.
